About Alaina O’Neal, Co-Founder of HeyOrlando.com

Alaina O’Neal is a talented writer, graphic designer and entrepreneur.

She has worked for a variety of media outlets including the Citizen Tribune, The Chattanooga Times Free Press and the Elizabethton Star. During those tenures, she received multiple Tennessee Press Association awards.

Alaina and her team were bitten by the “blogging bug” in 2020 when they launched their original concept – TheSmokies.com, an homage to her hometown in Tennessee.

What started out as a passion project quickly turned into a massive success.

In the footsteps of that success, Alaina and her team launched HeyOrlando.com in 2022 – a nod to one of her favorite vacation destinations and an area she holds near and dear to her heart.

Alaina and her husband got engaged at Ollivander’s Wand Shop at Hogsmeade in Universal Studios. Her husband hid the ring inside a wand box. They celebrated at Portofino’s Mama Della’s later that evening.
