Will Taylor Swift make a cameo in the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie?
I will admit that I have not historically been a big Taylor Swift fan. It’s not that I necessarily dislike her music; she’s had several songs over the years that I like a lot. But like everyone else, I have been fascinated by the ultimate crossover between the NFL and Swifties inspired by Taylor’s relationship with Travis Kelce. The viral videos of indignant men scoffing at their wives, girlfriends, or daughters suggesting that Taylor Swift “put Travis Kelce on the map” are hysterical.
In reality, Taylor Swift’s series of appearances at several NFL games has brought new fans to the NFL. For instance, consider the new Cetaphil commercial. It tells the story of a father and his teenage daughter bonding over their sudden shared interest in a certain professional football team that wears red.
During Super Bowl LVIII, I jokingly mentioned to my husband (who is both bearded and football player-sized) that I was proud of Taylor for finally figuring out what an attractive man looks like. Perhaps Marvel Studios hopes to replicate this fanbase crossover with a cameo of Taylor Swift in the upcoming Deadpool sequel.
Is Taylor Swift appearing in Deadpool 3?
Marvel fans and Swifties alike speculate that Taylor might make a surprise cameo appearance in the film. After all, she is longtime friends with Ryan Reynold’s wife, Blake Lively. The pair attended the Super Bowl together earlier this year. Additionally, a promotional poster for “Deadpool & Wolverine” features matching friendship necklaces themed after the unlikely pair that read “best” and “friends”. This could be a nod to the Taylor Swift friendship bracelets trend.
However, at the time of this writing, rumors of Taylor Swift appearing in “Deadpool & Wolverine” are unconfirmed. The confirmed cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Morena Baccarin, Jennifer Garner, Brianna Hildebrand, and Patrick Stewart.
When is Deadpool 3 coming out?
“Deadpool & Wolverine” is set to release on July 26, 2024. It’s likely to be a top performer at the box office just like “Deadpool” and “Deadpool 2.” The trailer states that the film is not yet rated. However, its dark adult humor is likely to earn it a Restricted rating. Interestingly, the trailer features agents from the Time Variance Authority. This agency was first introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Disney+ show “Loki”.
The Summer 2024 blockbuster movie season is shaping up to be chock-full of prequels and sequels. Included are “Despicable Me 4”, “Inside Out 2”, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”, “Bad Boys 4”, “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”, “A Quiet Place: Day One”, “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F”, “Twisters”, “Alien: Romulus”, and “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”.
